A month after stepping away from a demanding career as a police officer, I made a bold leap toward the life I truly wanted. With only five suitcases, two dogs, and a one-month Airbnb booking in San Jose, Costa Rica, I embarked on an entirely new chapter. I’d let go of almost everything I owned—physically and mentally releasing the weight of my past life to pursue something different: peace and freedom.
This journey was the ultimate test of courage and resilience, challenging me in ways I never anticipated. Living alone in a foreign country with no concrete plan brought profound growth and invaluable lessons in self-belief, focus, and perseverance.
